Driving the Winds of Change, Together
Our power comes from our members. Uniting over 100 organizations across six New England states, New England for Offshore Wind fosters collaboration, drives advocacy and strives for an equitable, healthy clean energy future.
How We Work
NE4OSW meets regularly to coordinate strategies to build public and government support for offshore wind, prioritizing environmental justice, economic opportunity, and community engagement every step of the way. Our partners are thoughtful and dedicated environmental organizations, labor unions, businesses and associations, and academic institutions committed to advancing responsible offshore wind in New England.
As A Member You Can:
- Expand Networks: NE4OSW is an interregional community of over 200 change makers, each of whom is committed to supporting widespread collaboration within the coalition, as well as communities, local governments and media circles. By joining the coalition, you gain access to a robust network of connections, strengthened by monthly meetings (in-person and virtual), working groups and shared resources.
- Reach Further: With our strategic communications resources, webinars, and policy campaigns, our coalition is prepared to help you increase organization and mission awareness within your community, and throughout New England.
- Influence Policy: Since its inception, our coalition has played a leading role in passing major offshore wind legislation across New England, guiding siting and leasing processes in the Gulf of Maine, and ushering key projects across the finish line. Join our success in fostering lawmaker collaboration, co-signing letters, and submitting joint comments, or sign onto issues-based working groups to create change across sectors.
- Strengthen Knowledge: Our coalition offers a wide array of professional development resources. From strategic communications workshops to expert-developed presentations to first-access industry intel, we equip our members with the tools and ideas that will drive our success further and faster.
- Make a Difference: Our New England clean energy transition will be powered by people who care; about our economy, our environment, and the communities that rely on both. Join a powerful network of stewards for the clean energy future and be the change you want to see in your community, in our legislation, and across the globe.
Our Members Are:
- Subject Experts: To enact informed, science-based, and responsible action, we rely on members with expertise in energy policy, advocacy, business strategy and grassroots organizing. We unite leaders from natural resource conservation, labor unions, economic development, clean energy and more, each bringing new perspectives to our shared goal: a healthy environment and thriving economy.
- Committed Changemakers: Creating the clean energy future takes time, and effort. We welcome members who will be engaged and active in coalition activities, including monthly meetings, social media engagement, advocacy campaigns, and community outreach.
- Community Advocates: NE4OSW is dedicated to offshore wind development that is informed by and benefits communities most vulnerable to climate change, specifically those who have been historically marginalized and overburdened by energy pollution. Our coalition members uphold our environmental justice values and welcome all opportunities to bring new and diverse voices to the table.
